Necrotizing vasculitis as disease if immune complexes (clinical and immunopathologic picture)

Makhneva N.V., Kartashova M.G., Davidenko E.B., Beletskaya L.V., Mahneva N.V., Kartashova М.G., Davidenko Е.B., Beletskaya L.V.

Abstract

Necrotizing vasculitis (NV) as disease if immune complexes presents a multisystem disorder of skin and mucous membranes, which often affects other organs and systems. Usually NV manifests after infectious diseases, external influences (hypothermia) or medicines intake. Clinical symptoms are diverse and depend on type, diameter and localization of affected vessels, as well as on severity of concomitant inflammatory processes. A case of NV affecting kidneys in a 15 y.o. girl developed after hypothermia. Diagnosis was confirmed by histology and immunohistochemical staining. Detection of immune complexes (IgG, С3-component of complement) and fibrinogen/fibrin in walls of dermal vessel was a weighty argument for treatment with korticosteriods. This case illustrates the necessity of timely diagnosis and prescription of adequate therapy.

Dermoscopy in scabies

Malyarchuk A.P., Sokolova T.V., Lopatina Y.V., Kiseleva A.V., Malyarchuk А.P., Socolova Т.V., Lopatina Y.V., Kiseleva А.V.

Abstract

Authors present a review of dermoscopy implication in dermatology for scabies diagnostics. Long-term original studies of dermoscopy implication for scabies diagnosis conducted by authors are also presented. Diagnostic significance of this method was assessed, as well as influence of qualification of medical staff (doctor, laboratory worker) using dermoscopy for scabies diagnostics. New data concerning morphology of burrows of scabies are presented: these characteristics were revealed after comparison of results of optic cogerent tomography. Dependency relation of localization of burrows of scabies and sweat glands density is revealed. Significance of dermoscopy use for control of treatment efficacy with different scabicides, registered in Russian Federation.

Abstract

Authors present the results of studies of lipid metabolism disorders in patients with psoriatic arthritis in Ust-Ordynsky Buruatsky region. Results of the study have shown that dislipidemy (mostly IIb and IV types according to Frideriksen) was observed in 60% of patients, that is much less often than in european population. Differentiated approach to a treatment of psoriatic arthritis depending on detected lipid metabolism disorders.

Butov Y.S., Vasenova V.Y., Izmerova N.I., Selisskiy G.D., Butov Y.S., Vasenova V.Y., Izmerova N.I., Selisskiy G.D.

Abstract

Literature review is presented demonstrating a grave risk of pesticides spread for human health. In a case of skin contact severe disorders develop in a form of toxic and allergic response involving gastrointestinal tract, causing immunodeficiency, stimulating proinflammatory cytokines, development of embryotoxic and mutagenic effects, responsible for malignancies.

Diagnosis of specific hepatitis in patients with lepra

Mesnyankina O.A., Degtyarev O.V., Naumov V.Z., Duyko V.V., Mesnyankina O.A., Degtyarev O.V., Naumov V.Z., Duyko V.V.

Abstract

Among the most prevalent visceral complications of leprous process is chronic leprous hepatitis, the main etiological factor of which is persisting Mycobacterium leprae (M. leprae) in tissues of affected organ. It was shown that evaluation of α1-antitripsin, α2-macroglobulin, gaptoglobin and α1-acidic glicoproteine in patients with lepra has important diagnostic and prognostic value: in a combination with other parameters it helps to reveal liver involvement; in a combination with enzyme-immunoassay detection of antibodies to M. Leprae antigens allows to reveal latent persistency of aetiologic agent; reflects the disease severity; allows to predict the course of the most prevalent complication of lepra; and serves as a criterion of therapy efficacy.

Morphological characteristics and behavioral changes in Trichomonas vaginalis under constant magnetic field in vitro

Ryumin D.V., Syuch N.I., Ryumin D.V., Syuch N.I.

Abstract

Authors conducted an in vitro experiment using light microscopy of native preparations, prepared from culture of Trichomonas vaginalis and assessed morphological and behavioral reactions of Trichomonas vaginalis on constant magnetic field. It was shown that depending on duration of exposition to constant magnetic field the culture of vaginal trichomonades develops principally similar morphological changes and behavioral reactions, but some differences including time of onset and intensity of changes were also observed.
