Violation of diagnostic algorithms for providing medical care for autoimmune pemphigus and their consequences

Patient safety is a fundamental principle in the provision of medical care. In the Russian Federation, work is regularly carried out to reduce the number of adverse incidents, including through a systematic analysis of errors and adverse events. To illustrate these problems, the article presents four clinical cases of patients with various forms of acantholytic pemphigus. Defects in the provision of medical care in the form of a violation of the differential diagnostic algorithm, interdisciplinary continuity and therapy tactics are considered. Emphasis is placed on the fact that diagnostic and tactical errors lead to aggravation of the course of dermatosis, transformation of one form of pemphigus into another. Attention is focused on the young age of patients, features of the clinical course of its individual forms. The conclusion emphasizes the need to comply with clinical recommendations, increase awareness of doctors of related specialties about the modern features of the course of bullous dermatoses and improve the coordination of the work of specialists of various profiles. Solving these problems will improve the quality of medical care and patient safety.
