Sukhova T.E., Molochkov V.A., Romanko Y.S., Changlyan K.A., Tret'yakova E.I.

Abstract

The paper describes the currently available treatment for actinic keratosis (AC). The authors treated 20 patients with AC by photodynamic therapy with application of the photosensitizer Photoditasine. A total of 115 lesion foci were treated. The efficiency of the technique after 2-month therapy was 93.9%. Recurrences were noted in 2 foci in 2 months 1.5 and 2 years after treated (1.7%). The efficiency during less than 2-year follow-up was 92.2%.

Bazaev V.T., Tseboeva M.B., Tsarueva M.S., Belikova Z.X.

Abstract

The paper describes papulous syphilid-like impetigo in a child with encopresis that has developed after proctoplasty for congenital rectal atresia. Continuous fecal leakage, maceration maintain the chronic course of the process and reduce the benefit of the therapy performed. The case is of interest as an example of differential diagnosis with the manifestations of secondary recurrent syphilis.

Tret'yakova E.I., Kiselev S.O., Groznova A.A.

Abstract

The paper considers the effect of Reich's chamber in therapy for various dermatoses. Ninety-two patients received traditional treatment for major diseases and a course of procedures in Reich's chamber. The course of therapy was 8-13 sessions; the duration of each procedure was 30 minutes. The chamber had positive and none effects in 90 (97.7%) and 2 (2.3%) of the patients, respectively. Reich's chamber treatment went well and was supplemented by conventional procedures and treatments for chronic dermatoses, it showed a high physiological nature and a comprehensive action on the body and substantially enhanced the effect of conventional treatment

Eritrodermiya pri toksokaroze

Ovsyannikova G.V., Molochkov V.A., Pelepets L.P., Fedorovskaya A.V.

Abstract

The paper first describes a case of secondary erythroderma occurring in the parasitic disease. The differential diagnosis of different forms of erythroderma should consider the following factors: age, a history of dermatoses, use of drugs, and parasitic infestation. Since erythroderma may rapidly develop in lymphoproliferative diseases, the efficiency of differential diagnosis of erythrodermic skin lesions in cutaneous T-cell lymphoma is analyzed and the current treatment regimen for skin lesions in toxocarosis given. The findings suggest the high efficiency of treatment.

Infektsiya virusa gepatita S i pozdnyaya kozhnaya porfiriya v regionakh Vostochnoy i Zapadnoy Sibiri (kliniko-statisticheskoe issledovanie)

Krivosheev B.N., Kuznetsova N.P., Chashchin A.Y., Krivosheev A.B., Kondratova M.A.

Abstract

One hundred and seven patients (99 males and 8 women) aged 30-68 years (mean age 49.3±2.3 years) with porphyria cutanea tarda (PCT) identical in main clinical and statistical indicators were examined in 2 administrative areas of the Siberian Region (Irkutsk and Novosibirsk Regions) during 12 years (1998-2009). Enzyme immunoassay revealed a total of hepatitis C virus antibodies in 47 (43.9%) patients, including 12 (44.4±9.7%) of 27 patients from the Irkutsk Region and 35 (43.8±5.5%) of 80 patients from the Novosibirsk Region) (p > 0.5). Polymerase chain reaction found hepatitis C virus (HCV) RNA (viral load 105-106 copies/ml) in virtually all the examinees, which was indicative of the active course of infection at the stage of HCV replication. Genotyping indicated that HCV genotype 1b was dominant (91.3%) in the Siberian Region of Russia, as in other countries of the Eurasian and American continents, whereas genotype 3a was less frequently recorded (8.7%). Differential assessment of the dermatologic syndrome PCT, the age periods of manifestations of the disease, the specific features of its seasonal course, and daily urinary porphyrin excretion demonstrated that there were no great differences in patients with HCV infection versus those without viral hepatic lesion. However, hepatic dysfunctions were significantly more frequently detectable when PCT was concurrent with HCV infection, which was naturally attended by enhanced transaminase activities and higher iron levels in the serum. HCV plays an important etiological role in PCT and should be considered in this disease as a trigger, the porphyrinogenic effect of which is shown in combination with other risk factors (chronic alcohol intoxication, iron overload syndrome).

Immunogistokhimicheskie osobennosti ochagov atrofodermii Pazini-P'erini

Romanenko K.V.

Abstract

Markers, such as CD3, CD8, CD20, CD79α, CD68, CD1α, CD34, CD105, αSMA, vimentin, eNOS, Ki67, collagen IV, bcl2, and caspase 3, were studied to reveal the immunohistochemical features of the derma and epidermis in atrophoderma of Pasini-Pierini. In the latter, inflammatory changes as dermal infiltration mainly by CD20+ and CD68+ cells were found to be followed by fibrous rearrangements. The latter (if judged from the dermal dendrocytes (elevated levels of αSMA+ and vimentin-positive dendrocytes and decreased CD34+ cell counts), their ability to synthesize endoglin, lower eNOS levels, and higher caspase 3 concentrations) have common mechanisms with those in scleroderma and lichen scleroatrophicus.

Abstract

The paper presents the results of in vivo and ex vivo experiments, which suggest that optical coherence tomography enables the major anatomic components of the nail apparatus (nail wall, nail plate, nail bed, matrix, eponychium, hyponychium, free edge) to be visualized in lifetime and it may be proposed for diagnosis as an morphological method for examining the nail apparatus as an alternative to biopsy.

Sravnitel'naya otsenka informativnosti metodov laboratornoy diagnostiki trikhomoniaza u muzhchin

Mavzyutov A.R., Mustafina G.R., Nikonorov Y.M., Khismatullina Z.R.

Abstract

Direct methods for laboratory detection of Trichomonas vaginalis in urogenital trichomoniasis (UT) were comparative analyzed. Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) showed the highest sensitivity and specificity irrespective of the topic (urethritis, urethroprostatitis) and the duration of male UT and the intensity of inflammation. Moreover, the values of the prognostic value of negative and positive results may serve as main criteria for developing new diagnostic test systems for UT.

Snimshchikova I.A., Il'ina O.V., Khalilov M.A., Vislobokov A.V.

Abstract

The study was undertaken to optimize therapy for vulvovaginal candidiasis in the presence of chronic inflammatory diseases of small pelvic organs, by topically using immunoregulatory peptides (myelopide, superlymph). Local immunotherapy with these agents was shown to be promising in multimodality treatment programs for vulvovaginal candidiasis in the presence of chronic inflammatory diseases of small pelvic organs.
