Sukhova T.E., Molochkov A.V., Khlebnikova A.N., Koroleva L.P., Sukhova Т.Е., Моlochkov А.V., Khlebnikova А.N., Коrolevа L.P.

Abstract

Authors present results of long-term (2001-2010) observational assessment of efficacy of cryodestruction for basal cell carcinoma in 202 patients with 230 lesions. The best clinical and cosmetic results were achieved in Т1N0M0 stage of histologically monomorphous tumors, whereas in other tumor variants the effect was less favourable. Authors conclude that development of new treatment methods of nodular, ulcerative and scleroderma-like variants of basalioma are needed.

Clinical and genetic rationale and efficacy of in-patient treatment of persons with atopic dermatitis using sylvinite screens

El'kin V.D., Barannikov V.G., Dement'ev S.V., Kirichenko L.V., Kopytova E.A., Elkin V.D., Barannikov V.G., Dementyev S.V., Kirichenko L.V., Kopytova E.A.

Abstract

Authors present results of hygienic and comparative evaluation of in-patient treatment of 20 persons with atopic dermatitis in wards equipped with medical sylvinite screens (salt therapy). Inclusion of sylvinite screens in combined treatment of patients with atopic dermatitis contributed to clinical remission in 60% of patient vs. 27% in traditional treatment. Additionally, due to favorable microclimate, moderately enhanced ionizing radiation, and air ionization by negatively charged ions salt therapy had a general health-improving effect, improved quality of life and further corrected vegetative dysfunction.

Metabolic disorders in different chronic disseminated severe dermatoses (psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, pemphigus)

Kopytova T.V., Khimkina L.N., Dobrotina N.A., Panteleeva G.A., Kopytova T.V., Khimkina L.N., Dobrotina N.A., Panteleyeva G.A.

Abstract

Authors characterize peculiarities of metabolic disorders in chronic disseminated severe dermatoses (psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, pemphigus). There is a common feature in all evaluated disorders: increase of such markers of endoitoxication as intermediate mass molecules (IMM), activation of oxidation of peptides and lipids, decrease of effective albumin concentration. These changes can be interpreted as common biologic reaction to damage. Specificity of metabolic reactions was reflected in different mechanisms of generation of substrate of endointoxication, which were revealed due to qualitative differences of IMM spectrum and conditional compensatory changes in proteolytic systems of organism, as well as different types of formation of immune complexes.

Biochemical blood parameters correlating with severity of atopic dermatitis

Ol'shamovskaya A.O., Babkin A.V., Grashin R.A., Barbinov V.V., Olshamovskaya А.О., Babkin А.V., Grashin R.А., Barbinov V.V.

Abstract

139 patients with atopic dermatitis of different severity were examined. Based on SCORAD index patients were divided into 3 groups and a control group. In all patients level of immunoglobulin E in blood, concentration of eosinophils in peripherical blood and basic biochemical blood rates were studied. Changes of biochemical blood parameters were detected in 63% of patients with atopic dermatitis, indicating the synthetic and detoxification liver dysfunction. Inversely proportional correlation between blood urea concentration, cholesterol, gamma glutamine transferase and the severity of atopic dermatitis was revealed. Direct relationship between the level of immunoglobulin E and high SCORAD indexes was also confirmed.

Severe forms of congenital ichthyosis

Abdullaeva F.M., Abdullaeva Z.M., Arifov S.S., Abdullaeva F.M., Abdullaeva Z.M., Arifov S.S.

Abstract

Authors describe new clinical forms of ichthyosis congenital as well as differential diagnosis including molecular biologic methods and present a case of ichthyosis congenita. Though the prevalence of congenital ichthyosis is comparatively low, this disorder presents an actual problem of modern dermatovenereology due to diagnostic difficulties, unfavourable course of the disease and lack of effective treatment. At the same time accurate diagnosis of congenital ichthyosis allows to predict the course of the disease and prescribe appropriate treatment.
