Abstract
The purpose of the article is to study the trends in the development of the consumer market of the Republic of Belarus for 2011-2022, the features of the current period and its patterns. Based on the data of the National Statistical Committee of the Republic of Belarus, the main socio-economic indicators for 2011-2022 are analyzed. The modern legal framework for regulating the consumer market and its infrastructure does not provide legal regulation of the relationships between industry and various types of trade activities, such as wholesale and retail trade, public catering. Processes occurring in domestic industry and trade are often unacceptably distorted, which affects the efficiency and quality of services. The proposed directions for the development of the consumer market should correct the current situation in the country's transitional economy.
