Low-rise houses in panel design is the second birth of large-panel housing construction
Nikolaev S.V.
Abstract

The possibility of the Russian housing construction industrial base of house-building and precast concrete plants usage in factory products for low-rise buildings construction manufacture was considered. In the Russian Federation, since the 1980s, the commissioning of housing in large-scale production has sharply decreased (from 70% to 10–15% currently). Herewith the volume of apartment buildings construction has decreased over the past 3–5 years, and a further decrease to 30% for the coming years is confirmed. Meanwhile people prefer the construction of individual low-rise buildings with a small plot of 6–8 acres. The volume of such construction exceeds multi-storey one annually on 8–10 million m2. Production facilities are being released. This allows, according to the author, to use the released capacities for the individual low-rise buildings production. Pilot developments of the most in-demand area from 80 to 120–140 m2 let to create the system of fully assembled houses of factory-made house kits from prefabricated grillings to prefabricated roof slabs, including all roof elements, which installation was previously carried out on the construction site and was significant in time and cost. 100% of the prefabricated products for low-rise house construction allows transferring low-rise house construction processes to factory conditions as much as possible, increase labor productivity, better working conditions for workers and improve the construction quality.

Demand crisis is the time for modernization
Abstract

Even market leaders commissioning large volumes of housing are vulnerable when the cost of money rises sharply. Loan servicing becomes the main expense at a high key interest rate. The large bond loan repayment and then almost immediate appeal for support looks like a systemic tension signal. It is construction in small towns of the country can become the new market configuration foundation. Practice shows that plants which know how to calculate output, cost and capacity utilization are stable in a crisis, but not those that are equipped with the most expensive equipment. The industry is entering a modernization phase.

Cost-effective design of rc residential buildings
KRAKOVSKIY M.B., Tikhonov I.N.
Abstract

An approach enabling significantly increase reinforced concrete (RC) residential buildings efficiency and reliability at their design is proposed. Reinforcement calculation methods used in computer programs Lira 10, Ing+, Lira CAD, SCAD (Arbat), STARK ES are analyzed. The error of using strength criteria not specified in regulatory documents is shown. The calculation of designed with LIRA CAD 2022 and constructed 12-storey residential building is considered. The proposed approach application to the building calculation allowed reducing steel consumption in columns and pylons by 46%, and in floor slabs by 24%. Savings were achieved through two factors: the reinforcement with enhanced strength and adhesion to concrete characteristics usage and calculations according to the OM SNiP “Reinforced Concrete” program which takes into account all the regulatory documents necessary requirements.

Methodological support for the analysis of installation defects in civil buildings precast-monolithic structures (by the “KUB-2,5” system example)
Kolmakova Y.D., Vorobiev А.V., Fomin N.I., Isaev A.P., Nikolaeva А.Е., Nikora N.I.
Abstract

Precast-Monolithic housing construction technology is currently one of priorities for the domestic construction industry development. However, despite the undeniable advantages of this technology, buildings constructed with the precast-monolithic frame have a number of disadvantages limiting their mass use. Long-term practice of civil buildings structures technical inspection allowed the article authors to reveal a problem of detecting and evaluating defects in the precast-monolithic structures installation in addition to the known factors limiting the precast-monolithic systems development and widespread use. The revealed problem is caused by insufficient manufacturability of applied operational and acceptance control processes. Defects detection in the structures installation of a building load-bearing frame is carried out during the structures technical inspection with the methods regulated in SP 13-102–2003 “Rules for the load-bearing building structures inspection in buildings and structures”: design, working and as-built documentation analysis; structures visual inspection; structural reinforcement parameters determination; concrete strength control of prefabricated and monolithic structural elements; welds quality control; verification calculations of the load-bearing frame and its individual structural elements for existing or design loads. The article presents a structured list of the most common defects in the load-bearing precast-monolithic structures of the civil buildings frame installation (with the “KUB-2,5” system example). The defects were determined on the base of the technical surveys results carried out by the authors. A clear algorithm for the identified installation defects assessing is proposed. The installation defects presented in the article allow us to conclude that there is a need for thorough regulation of construction and installation work and subsequent operational construction control, including an algorithm for assessing the defects impact on the load-bearing frame reliability.

Housing construction market turbulence is the engine of house-building plant, large-panel housing construction and precast concrete plants evolution
Abstract

Demand for real estate in apartment buildings is falling for various reasons. These reasons are new facilities oversupply, high key bank rate, limited access to preferential financing and preferential mortgages cancellation. The new building market is currently undergoing a transformation. Despite the construction continuation the number of orders is significantly decreasing, which leads to the low workload of factories producing reinforced concrete products.

Application of the moisture potential scale working zone for calculating building envelopes moisture regime
Zubarev K.P., Sapronova Y.A., Fedoseev V.D.
Abstract

Possibility to replace a classical moisture potential scale to the moisture potential scale working zone for building enclosure structures moisture regime calculation was proved. According to four experiments results (thermal conductivity, vapor permeability, sorption, moisture conductivity), the moisture potential scale for an aerated concrete sample was constructed. It was obtained that for the investigated aerated concrete sample, the highest moisture potential value is 54125 Pa were achieved under a temperature of 20оС and a weight moisture content of 49.7%. It is shown that all values of the moisture potential scale locating to the right of 1389 Pa are not involved in a calculation, since the moisture potential can not exceed 1389 Pa at any point of the enclosing structure while calculations. That is why only the part of the moisture potential scale is required for practical use, which is proposed to be called the «the moisture potential scale working zone». The moisture potential scale working zone introduction enabled to reduce the number of required wetting ranges for aerated concrete from 15 to 6. The effectiveness of the proposed approach is illustrated by the calculation of a single-layer enclosing structure. The structure was divided into 10 equal parts of 0.04 m each. In each section of the enclosure structure temperature, moisture potential and saturated water vapor pressure were determined. As a result, the wall moisture content was calculated as 10.1% by mass. It is noted that the proposed approach can be applied in moisture calculations for any types of building enclosure structures with any number of layers.

Determination of the characteristics of the cooling period based on a probabilistic statistical model of the outdoor climate
Samarin O.D.
Abstract

The relevance of the study is related to the need to have information about the calculated parameters of the outdoor climate in the warm season when choosing the thermal protection of fences in civil buildings equipped with local cooling systems, and the incompleteness of such data in the main regulatory document of the Russian Federation in this area – SP 131.13330.2025 “Building Сlimatology”. The subject of the study is the principles of choosing the average outdoor temperature for the cooling period and determining its duration. The purpose of the study is to obtain a methodology for calculating the degree-day cooling period, taking into account only the data in Table 6.1 SP 131.13330.2025 and information on the intensity of the solar radiation flux in the construction area. The objective of the study is to construct approximation relations for the average outdoor temperature and the duration of the cooling period at the selected boundary temperature of its beginning and end for specific construction areas. A combination of probabilistic and statistical approach with the theory of approximation of functions by generalized polynomials is used, which makes it possible to obtain an analytical expression for the duration and number of degree-days of the cooling period, valid for any settlements within the territory of the Russian Federation. The possibility of constructing a dependence form for the degree-day cooling period in the form of a product of linear and exponential multipliers is shown, based on an analysis of the data obtained earlier by the author on the probability distribution function of the urgent outdoor temperature. The results of the corresponding calculations for the climatic conditions of Moscow and some other cities of Russia are presented. It is noted that the presented dependence gives correct results for the actual values of the parameters and is suitable for use in engineering practice.

Frame buildings slab foundations calculation based on settling limiting difference
Esipov M.A., Аshikhmin O.V., Esipov А.V.
Abstract

The present research objective is to derive a standardized residential building design with a reinforced concrete frame. This objective is achieved by unifying the design solutions of load-bearing structures and foundations erected in various climatic and soil conditions. For accounting the response of the foundation to the aboveground structures and the building foundations and their stress-strain state estimation, it is proposed to divide the facility design into three stages. At the first stage, the building frame is unified; stiffness characteristics and the elements reinforcement are determined, satisfying maximum possible uneven difference in settling allowed by the building regulations. The resulting solution is subsequently applied in various types of soil conditions and becomes a re-application project, i.e. a standard project. The second stage evaluates load-bearing capacity of a typical building in the specific construction site conditions. The economic effect is achieved by reducing the labour intensity and design time of the frame and foundations load-bearing structures due to the unified design solutions.

Research on the parameters of swirling jets from supply units and the efficiency of indoor air purification from urban dust
Litvinova N.A., Azarov V.N.
Abstract

The results of studies of the parameters of swirling jets from supply units with air purification from dust of vertical surfaces of residential buildings are presented and their cleaning efficiency is estimated with determination of aerodynamic parameters using the proposed experimental installation. It is established that the efficiency of air purification of the supply unit from dust with a dispersion of 2.5–5 microns was 98.98%, with a dispersion of 8–10 microns – 99.34%. The paper presents empirical dependences of dust concentrations with particle sizes of 2.5–5 μm and 8–10 μm on the air velocity in the supply unit. According to the calculated data of the parameters of the supply jet in the service area, the air velocity corresponds to the permissible value for residential buildings, depending on the air flow rate. When comparing theoretical calculations and experimental data on air velocity on the axis of the inlet swirling jet at air flow rates of 90 and 140 m3/h, the difference was no more than 5.3–7.7%. With an increase in air flow rate from 90 to 300 m3/h, the coefficient of aerodynamic drag decreases by 1.3 times, and the pressure difference increases from 0.005 to 0.018 kPa. The results of the pressure difference and air aerodynamic resistance parameters are necessary for the justification and selection of a swirling supply fan.

Assessment of urease bioadditives modified concrete creep deformations
Dergunova E.S., Goncharova M.A., Mraev A.V.
Abstract

This study is aimed to assess the urease bio-additives effect on concrete creep deformations. The bio-additives based on the urease microorganisms Bacillus licheniformis are created with organic polymer carriers such as sodium alginate and styrene-based polymer gel, which allow maintaining urease activity for up to 180 days at the level of 50–55 micrograms of NH3/g/day. The properties of concrete samples created with bio-additives were evaluated. It is found that the bi-additives helps to reduce the concrete mixture rigidity in comparison with the control sample, i.e. bio-additives based on urease bacteria evince plasticizing properties. Compressive strength values increased by 8–15% compared to the control sample. Creep deformations of concrete obtained using urease bio-additives based on Bacillus licheniformis microorganisms was studied. It was found that the bio-additives immobilized with organic polymer carriers reduces concrete creep by 15–20%. The combination of the bio-additive using the sodium alginate, which fills the concrete pores and improves cement hydration, being the most effective.

Environmental monitoring system software package development for settlement of Solovetsky (Bolshoy Solovetsky Island)
Morozova M.V.
Abstract

The concept of an integrated environmental monitoring system is being developed to ensure trends in environmental pollution timely detection and crisis situations forecasting. Since 2024, scientists at the NArFU School of Engineering have been seasonally monitoring the natural environment (water, air, soil) state in the settlement of Solovetsky. Thus the accumulated analytical material can serve as a basis for a database providing an integrated approach to environmental monitoring creation and the measures for environmental standards compiling development on the territory of Bolshoy Solovetsky Island. In the database development two main libraries were created: one is data on sources pollution and a list of controlled pollutants for each element of the biosphere (atmosphere, lithosphere, hydrosphere), and the other is a secondary database with indicators measured at a field work. Due to this software good integration an interactive map was created in order to link sampling points to the area and visualize all the information collected. Currently the map’s functionality includes: data editing, a new point adding, searching, filtering, and saving. In the future, it is about to be expanded to possibility of converting an interactive map into an Android-based mobile application. The developed software will be of key importance for the archipelago natural and cultural heritage preservation.
