It occurs with virtually equal frequency in women and men, and there is a hereditary predisposition to its development. The most significant factors in the development of psoriasis are considered to be ethnicity, genetics, and environmental factors, although immune disorders are also possible. Psoriasis, as a disease associated with various comorbidities, including cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, endocrine, and other systems and organs, often causes persistent disability. Early detection and prevention of relapses are an important strategic task for medical specialists.</p> <p>AIM: To assess the primary incidence of psoriasis in the Russian Federation.</p> <p>METHODS: An analysis of federal statistical observation forms for 2020–2024, presented in collections of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, was conducted. Primary psoriasis incidence rates in the Russian Federation were calculated.</p> <p>RESULTS: The study revealed that the average Russian incidence rate of psoriasis for the study period, both in the Russian Federation as a whole and in most federal districts, is trending upward, despite a decline in 2024 compared to the previous year. This upward trend in psoriasis incidence is characteristic of both adults and children. The most unfavorable situation for the general population is found in the Northwestern and Volga Federal Districts, and for children, in the Northwestern and Far Eastern Federal Districts.</p> <p>CONCLUSION: An increase in primary psoriasis incidence in the Russian Federation was revealed for both adults and children. This indicates the need to study the causes of this increase in incidence and make management decisions on psoriasis prevention among the population.</p>
<trans-abstract xml:lang="ru"><p>Обоснование. Рост первичной заболеваемости псориазом в Российской Федерации выявлен как для взрослых, так и для детей, что свидетельствует о необходимости изучения причин роста заболеваемости и принятия управленческих решений по профилактике псориаза среди населения.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>childhood</kwd><kwd>psoriasis</kwd><kwd>diagnosis</kwd><kwd>primary psoriasis incidence</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>детский возраст</kwd><kwd>псориаз</kwd><kwd>диагностика</kwd><kwd>первичная заболеваемость псориазом</kwd></kwd-group><funding-group/></article-meta></front><body></body><back><ref-list><ref id="B1"><label>1.</label><mixed-citation>Potekaev NN, Lvov AN, Zhukova OV, et al.
