The earliest descriptions of the disease are found in the works of T. Bateman (1815), C. Tarral (1835), and A. Devergie (1856), who laid the foundation for the clinical understanding of this rare papulosquamous dermatosis. Subsequently, further contributions to its study were made by F. Hebra, E. Besnier, M. Kaposi, and Russian researchers including V.F. Burgsdorf, who systematized the clinical features and substantiated the independence of this nosological entity. A significant step in the investigation of Devergie’s disease was associated with the development of ideas about its possible association with impaired vitamin A metabolism and hereditary factors, which was reflected in the works of the 20th century. At the same time, the first classification appeared, proposed by W. Griffiths and later expanded by subsequent authors. A new stage began with the introduction of molecular-genetic technologies, in particular the discovery of CARD14 mutations and the involvement of NF-κB and MAPK signaling pathways, as well as the IL-1β/CCL20 and IL-23/IL-17A axes. These findings made it possible to consider the disease as an autoinflammatory dermatosis and explained the effectiveness of modern genetically engineered biological therapies. In addition, new clinical variants of the disease were identified, including facial discoid dermatitis, HIV-associated, paraneoplastic, postinfectious, and CAPE subtypes. Despite significant progress in understanding its pathogenesis and the availability of modern therapeutic options, Devergie’s disease remains challenging to diagnose and requires further research to clarify its nosological nature and develop personalized approaches to treatment.</p>
Несмотря на значительный прогресс в понимании патогенеза и современные возможности терапии, болезнь Девержи остаётся сложной в диагностике и требует дальнейших исследований для уточнения её нозологической природы и разработки персонализированных подходов к лечению.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>pityriasis rubra pilaris, history of dermatology, methotrexate, vitamin A</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>красный волосяной отрубевидный лишай, история дерматологии, метотрексат, витамин А</kwd></kwd-group><funding-group/></article-meta></front><body></body><back><ref-list><ref id="B1"><label>1.</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="en">1.
