This paper presents published data on systemic isotretinoin therapy for acne in Russia and in foreign countries and the modern protocols for acne treatment with standard and low doses of the drug. Isotretinoin combinations with other systemic or local drugs (oral contraceptives, topical antibiotics, retinoids) seem to be promising. High efficiency and safety of isotretinoin in the treatment of severe, medium severe, and slight acne is proven clinically and by laboratory findings.

Приведены данные литературы о применении системного изотретиноина в лечении угревой болезни в России и за рубежом, а также современные схемы лечения акне с использованием стандартных и низких доз препарата. Представляется актуальной комбинированная терапия изотретиноина с другими системными или наружными препаратами (оральными контрацептивами, топическими антибиотиками, ретиноидами). Клинически и лабораторно доказана высокая эффективность и безопасность изотретиноина как для лечения тяжелых форм акне, так и акне средней и легкой степени тяжести.
