The etiology of these lesions is extremely diverse and includes primary and secondary infectious diseases of bacterial, fungal and viral origin, autoimmune diseases, etc. In addition, there are a number of features associated with the age of manifestation of a particular lesion. For example, in childhood, primary rashes with herpes simplex often appear precisely on the oral mucosa. In adults, along with widespread rashes on the skin, it is possible to damage the oral mucosa in Kaposi's sarcoma with predominant localization on the hard palate. In primary and secondary syphilis, rashes on the oral mucosa can often be observed: primary hard chancre, syphilitic tonsillitis, syphilitic papules.</p>
